Notes on sand molding and casting

The following points should be paid attention to when casting sand mold castings and casting molding:

1. Material selection: Select suitable sand and casting materials to ensure that their quality meets the requirements and can meet the strength and surface quality requirements of castings.

2. Temperature control: control the temperature of liquid metal and sand mold to ensure that the casting is carried out within the appropriate temperature range to avoid quality problems caused by too high or too low temperature.

3. Casting method: Choose the appropriate casting method to ensure that the metal liquid can evenly fill the sand mold and avoid the generation of bubbles and inclusions.

4. Pouring speed: control the pouring speed of metal liquid to avoid problems such as sand mold rupture or uneven filling caused by too fast or too slow.

5. Casting sequence: rationally arrange the casting sequence, start pouring from the part that is easy to flow, and gradually fill the whole sand mold to ensure the integrity and quality of the casting.

6. Cooling time: Keep enough cooling time to ensure that the casting is fully solidified and cooled to prevent deformation and crack generation.

7. Post-treatment process: carry out necessary post-treatment process on castings, such as removing residual sand and dressing the surface, to ensure that the quality and appearance of the final product meet the requirements.

8. Quality inspection: carry out strict quality inspection, including appearance inspection, dimension measurement, etc., to ensure that the castings meet the quality standards required by the design.
