Automatic sand molding machine may encounter some defects in the process of use, the following are some common problems and ways to avoid them:

Porosity problem: porosity usually appears in the local place of the casting, which is manifested as a single porosity or honeycomb porosity with a clean and smooth surface. This may be caused by the unreasonable setting of the pouring system, the excessively high compacting of the sand mold or the poor exhaust of the sand core. In order to avoid air holes, it should be ensured that the pouring system is reasonably set up, the sand mold is even in compactness, the sand core is unblocked, and the air hole or air vent is set at the higher part of the casting

Sand hole problem: Sand hole refers to the casting hole contains sand particles. This may be caused by improper placement of the pouring system, poor design of the model structure, or too long residence time of the wet mold before pouring. Methods to prevent sand holes include proper design of the position and size of the casting system, selection of appropriate starting slope and rounding Angle, and shortening the residence time of the wet mold before pouring

Sand inclusion problem: sand inclusion means that there is a layer of molding sand between a layer of iron and the casting on the surface of the casting. This may be due to the sand mold firmness or compaction is not uniform, or improper pouring position and other reasons. Methods to avoid sand inclusions include controlling sand mold compactness, enhancing air permeability, and inserting nails into local weak spots during manual modeling

Wrong box problem: The automatic molding machine may have the wrong box problem in the production process, the reasons may include the misalignment of the mold plate, the cone positioning pin is stuck with sand blocks, the upper and lower dislocation caused by too fast pushing, the inner wall of the box is not clean and stuck with sand blocks, and the uneven lifting of the mold leads to the tilt of the sand tire on the box. In order to solve these problems, it should be ensured that the design of the plate is reasonable, the cone positioning pin is clean, the speed of pushing the type is moderate, the inner wall of the box is clean, and the mold is smooth

Through the above measures, the possible defects in the use of automatic sand molding machine can be effectively reduced, and the casting quality can be improved.
