Global Casting Production Ranking

Currently, the top three countries in global casting production are China, India, and South Korea.

China, as the world's largest casting producer, has maintained a leading position in casting production in recent years. In 2020, China's casting production reached approximately 54.05 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 6%. In addition, China's precision casting industry is also very developed, with the consumption of precision castings in 2017 reaching 1,734.6 thousand tons, accounting for 66.52% of the global sales volume of precision castings.

India also holds an important position in the casting industry. Since surpassing the United States in casting production in 2015, India has become the world's second-largest casting producer. India's casting industry includes a variety of materials, such as aluminum alloys, gray iron, ductile iron, etc., mainly used in the automotive, railway, machine tools, sanitary ware, and other fields.

South Korea ranks third in the global casting production ranking. Although South Korea's casting production is not as high as that of China and India, it possesses world-leading steelmaking technology and a developed shipbuilding industry, which also provides strong support for the development of its casting industry.
